Until corrected , I will presume the quoted post is due to another member opening the link , that I clearly put the warning ' this video may not be suitable for some ' . It appears me putting that warning was much justified . It ain't poltireist's fault if some did not heed that warning and felt uncomfortable with what they found . Poltergeist did not make that video but only put it forth for consumption by serious preppers nor did poltiregist proclaim anything on that video as factual . It is simply information that some preppers seek so they can take appropriate responses .

Thanks for the reply . My mistake , as i knew we had one member open it , then complain about it , so I just guessed we had a repeat . For curious members that have not opened that link will just say it goes into a dark realm that just ain't suitable for some . --- reading the sentence on the earth had a timeline in which to flip . I don't recall a timeline . I may have to watch it again to see about that timeline . --- Something seems to be going over some's head as in their thinking process . I have been trying to be nice and not point something out but under the circumstances will . Serious preppers seek the most horrific forecasts . Why - so they can prepare for the worst case scenarios . Some only prepare for moderate or minor events and do not want to hear about something that they are not willing to face . Now whether that horrific forecast ever materializes , doesn't matter with me , as in whether it happens are not , I am willing to face it and hopefully prepare for it . If the crust shifts 90 degrees in one day (per the claim), you won't survive it.
Period.
You can pretend that you're "preparing" by believing in this nonsense, but it's never happened before, and there's no reason to believe it ever will.
You bought into something, and are reluctant to accept that you may have been duped.
By all means, prepare for things you have a chance to survive (coronal mass ejections, nuclear fallout, extreme weather, global war, financial collapse, etc...), but don't disparage others ("seems to be going over some's head", "don't want to hear about something that they are not willing to face") for not believing in complete junk pseudo-science.

The people who produce these types of videos are preying on an audience that doesn't fully grasp the false reality that the video is portraying. The energy requirement alone would cause any physicist to scoff and turn it off in a blink. It's absurd on its face to those who understand what would be required to make it plausible.

To subdue any misconceptions, I don't know you from Adam. Others seem to know you from other places. I've never been a member of those other boards, so I've never run across your other content that may be elsewhere.
What I do know is a basic understanding of physics, and more specifically, the laws of motion.
When I see a claim such as the one presented, glaring red flags go up, and I immediately try to inform everyone involved that they are following a charlatan. One of the best skills a prepper can have is threat recognition. We often only think of preparing for environmental, financial, or governmental problems, whether large or small. But we often ignore the "people problem". We try our best to spot the folks we think may become violent, but we often miss the grifters because they're very good at what they do, and can infiltrate any group. Unless we are reasonably critical of their propositions on a consistent basis, we will drop our guard, and they can take advantage of it.

Unfortunately, they have often been working their craft for quite a while, and have developed a loyal following. It's easy to do. They just have to make sure that most of what they say is true, or at least plausible. This makes it easier to sprinkle in the absurd stuff that drives clicks, and people still believe they're credible.
If I had to guess, you've watched a fair bit of that person's content, and most of it is perfectly reasonable. Tracking sun spots and solar weather is a normal thing that scientists do. That builds credibility. But making predictions about events that have provably never happened before as if they have, and are about to happen again (and are so absurd as to call reality itself into question), should shatter credibility and cause a tremendous loss of followers.

So yes, the claim is absurd and not at all likely. The claim itself isn't so much the issue. It's the person making the original claim who is leading others to believe it. How many other such claims have failed to come to fruition? Why does such a person plan conferences a year in advance if they truly believe a "near extinction level event" is imminent? We must always be critical of anyone who makes a living in the "prepper space". Are they actually knowledgeable and want to offer their valuable information and skills for a fair value? Or are they a silver-tongued swindler who's found another audience of unsuspecting folks to squeeze?
Based on this claim, the guy who runs the Space Weather News channel seems to be the latter. Hopefully you and he are not the same person. And hopefully you'll be more critical of his claims going forward after this one was rightfully shredded to pieces.
