Yesterdays gliche...

I've been rather busy that last two days..but yesterday on one of my stops I went into a convenience store to make a purchase with the debit card and was refused a sale. The reason was thier debit card machines were down for the moment. Actually, her exact words were "they were down, and it wasn't just thier store, it was nation-wide, we don't know when they will be back."

Now I don't know if she knew what she was talking about or not, but this is a very large gas distributor. Kind of a scary moment I think, which seems to me to be becoming more common. Nation wide? Hummmm.....?

Made mental note to self: start keeping cash on hand and stop relying on the almighty debit card!
