He means it in a very different way.
His implication is, "if we the people are the government, then there should be no opposition to what we want to do".
To which the founders would reply, "sorry you old fool, but the government does not consist of the whole people; merely elected representatives of the people, and must be constrained."

You should know...
We'll I don't know your full history, nor whether you have any principles.
Your references are a bit thin.

Does the thread have a point?
If so, what?

Here's Ben Shapiro on the same topic: (6:49-8:18)

Sorry President Houseplant, but that is a clear misunderstanding of our founding.

(Edited to include a better version without the show's overlay splash)

This was added later, and Lordy is it ever real good reading, it is certain to be used on Biden. And then on Harris after she proves to be a dumb bell. Boy, it’s like living back in the days of Nixon and Agnew.

Amendment XXV

Section 1.

In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

Section 2.

Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

The really scary part of that is who will she choose? The beast? Pelosi? This is the stuff nightmares are made of.

"yes, he did say it!"
Did you mean to put an exclamation point there? Because if you did it implies there is something to be surprised about.
