710.JPG UP FOR SALE IS A 60 KW (60 KILOWATTS) GENERATOR. THE PRICE IS $6000.00 FIRM. THE GOV PAID SOME $23000.00 FOR IT.THIS WAS OWNED BY THE US GOVERNMENT AND IS BUILT TO LAST. THE UNIT IS RUNNING AND READY TO GO. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PUSH THE START BUTTON AND PLUG SOMETHING IN. THIS IS A LARGE GENERATOR, AND IS CAPABLE OF RUNNING 4 OR 5 HOUSES OR SOME TYPE OF SMALL TO MEDIUM SIZE FARM OR BUSINESS. IF YOU HAVE A BUSINESS AND NEED TO BE UP AND RUNNING YOU CAN BUY THIS RUN IT FOR TWO WEEKS AND SELL IT TO SOMEBODY ELSE ONCE THE POWER IS RESTORED. IT HAS ALL NEW OIL AND AIR CLEANER FILTERS,NEW OIL, NEWER BATTERY'S 02/2011, NEW ANTI FREEZE, AND FULL TO THE TOP OF NEW FRESH FUEL (ABOUT 55 GALLONS). THIS UNIT HAS A HOUR METER THAT READS 40 HOURS ON IT TODAY, (I MAY RUN ANOTHER 5-10 HOURS ON IT DOING THINGS AROUND HERE)THERE ARE TWO PHOTOS OF THE GAUGES, THEY WERE TAKEN WHILE THE MACHINE WAS RUNNING AND WAS UP TO RUNNING TEMPERATURE THE GEN-SET IS MOUNTED ON A TRAILER, WHICH I COULD REMOVE FOR SHIPPING PURPOSES. THE DIESEL MOTOR IS A ALIAS CHALMERS, 6 CYLINDER, TURBO CHARGED MOTOR. THE MOTOR CAN RUN ON BIO DIESEL, DIESEL OR JET FUEL.THE GENERATOR IS A 12 WIRE BRUSH-LESS TYPE AC GENERATOR. THE GENERATOR HAS OUT PUTS OF 115/230 SINGLE PHASE AND 208/240/416/480 THREE PHASE. THE GENERATOR IS 50/60 HZ. THE OIL IS SPOTLESS AND WAS CLEAN BEFORE I CHANGED IT. THE HOSES AND BELTS LOOK NEW. THE MOTOR DOESN'T LEAK A DROP OF ANYTHING. IT STARTS RIGHT UP AND RUNS CLEAN WITH JUST A LITTLE BLUE TINT TO THE EXHAUST GASSES. ONCE AGAIN THIS CAN BE TOWED AWAY TODAY AND IS READY TO WORK OR I CAN REMOVE IT FROM THE TRAILER AND BUILD A PALLET TO SHIP IT OUT ON A TRUCK. BUYER TO PAY EXACT SHIPPING FROM 17901 POTTSVILLE PA.

I worked on these before. They are built like a tank, but you can't run them at idel for too periods of time. They will develop high levels of blowbite and in turn can cause a serious problem. The fix to that is to keep a load on it when it's running. If my mind it's to bad I think I remember them haveing a 20 gallon tank (Which is under the engine) and can run a whole camp for about 14-16 hours on gallons. I also remember using it in Kosovo on a GP medium and the one tank last for about 2 days. It all depends on the load it is haveing to run. It also has a 220/110 volts function. So you can run 220 volt applliances if need be!
