So I was talking to a buddy of mine (the co-founder of our nonprofit). He's a prepper/survivalist who also happens to be the forestry major that I've spoken about. We've heard that you can make good money doing blogs and we were wondering if anybody knows anything about it. I know some of you guys have video blogs; Leon, Acid Little.

Help me out here guys and gals. I'm trying to get him to join the forum. Show him how nice and knowledgeable a group we have here.

If you do a hobby that you really enjoy, then you could make some good money with it, but don't expect money to fly in like crazy at first. Your interest in the hobby will still continue to grow even if you don't see any profit. Something to think about is combining a project of survival geared towards the appalachian trail, or survival videos for foresters (Fire, wild animals, directional finding, map/star/sun readings). Not only will you be combining your survival skills, but your buddy will be able to produce presentations to his peers about the forestry side of things.

Hit the nail on the head. We were talking about blogging survival techniques for a while and then showing those techniques in practical use along the trail.
