Our Rod & Gun Club offers free Bowhunter Safety Cert classes. The cert is required before the State will issue a Bowhunter license. I think I’ll sign up for the Fall series of classes and then purchase a license to get grandfathered into the system and to have another hunting option should firearms see some restrictions. The license also allows you to have a bow in your vehicle without concerns. I haven’t operated a bow since our son competed in archery silhouettes a few years ago. We still have his Bear Youth compound bow, but I’ll have to look into acquiring a more capable compound to put in the safe. Any suggestions?
