Nothing about this story seems right. Why do I keep thinking there is another shoe to drop?

This was the response of the district attorney about the couple defending their home when a violent mob broke down a gate and entered their property.

"I am alarmed at the events that occurred over the weekend, where peaceful protesters were met by guns and a violent assault," she said. "We must protect the right to peacefully protest, and any attempt to chill it through intimidation or threat of deadly force will not be tolerated."

Yeah, that part caught my eye as well.

If a bunch have to break thru a gate with No Trespassing signs clearly posted ...…..then they ain't 'peaceful' by any means.

And just where was this 'violent assault' she speaks of???

I've seen a lot of laughter and condescending remarks and memes about this couple.
Their firearms skills suck. But they had the guts or fear driven instinct to do what no one else was willing to do. They stood up against a mob.

I agree.

But also what I found interesting in the article is both are personal injury attorney's, they have defended a client from police brutality charge and donated more money to the dems than the gop. That tells me they are dem leaning but also hedge their bets. The thugs are starting to eat their own.

Democrats want this war at election time. They are behind it , they are funding it. If you elect us we will drop all charges everyone goes free. They want this war so be it.

That's right. There are only 2 ways democrats get votes...

This is a calculated response. They want the other side to engage so that they can demonize us even further and even persecute and prosecute us us.

But in war, there are really no rules. They are playing with fire.

The only way the left could have a chance to win this war is through support of a military. And this will happen - foreign, domestic or both. They will get the support they need.

July is gonna be a hot one and august will be like hell.

I don't know the couple and I was not there. My guesses are based only on the attorneys I have known, the MSM reports I have read and watching the video of the couple and noticing their level of comfort (or lack thereof) with their firearms. So feel free to draw your own conclusions.

I am not saying it is fake at all. They were obviously scared shitless. But I am saying they are definitely liberals and the BLM "protesters" are a group they largely supported (at least until last weekend). So their problem last weekend was largely a problem they helped create in the first place. They thought they would be safer than you and I on their private street with their private security. They were wrong.

So no, I do not have much sympathy for them. They saved their own skins the smartest way possible. That is a VERY good thing. Beyond that... meh.
