Yeah, like the vid says, here in Britain for many years we've had some of the strictest gun laws in the world but we've still had 3 gun massacres-

1987 The Hungerford massacre:- a 27 yr-old mummy's boy killed his mother then walked round town with 2 semi-auto rifles and a handgun killing 16 people at random, then killed himself.

1996 The Dunblane massacre:- a 43 yr old paedophile walked into an elementary school and killed 16 kids and their teacher with 4 handguns, then killed himself.

2010 Taxi Driver Rampage:- a 52-yr old chap cracked because life was getting on top of him and he couldn't handle it, so he drove around with a shotgun killing 12 people then himself.

And there are shootings on a lesser scale in Britain all the time, for example only recently two unarmed Brit policewomen were lured into an ambush and shot dead.

The vid also mentioned the Tony Martin case where he shot two burglars who were breaking into his farmhouse after dark, killing one of them, and he was sentenced to life imprisonment, but the great Brit public were on his side and raised such an outcry that he was released after 3 years.

geez in Canada, not only guns are regulated, but even something as bb and pellet guns are regulated. 500 fps?....They are alot more powerful in the US. They are gonna drive us back into the stone age my friends!!
As regards America, the people have got the Constitution and the views of the founding fathers to back up their right to own guns-

"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government."- George Washington

"The strongest reason for people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."- Thomas Jefferson

"Arms in the hands of citizens may be used at individual discretion in private self defense."- John Adams

"To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them."- Richard Henry Lee
"The greatest danger to American freedom is a government that ignores the Constitution" -Thomas Jefferson

"The right of self defense is the first law of nature"- US judge St. George Tucker (1752-1827)

So the only grounds the US Govt could have for denying some people that right is by using the following quote to say that some people are NOT peaceable, for example if they've got criminal convictions and therefore shouldn't be legally allowed to own a gun.

"The Constitution shall never be construed to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms."
- Samuel Adams

The vast majority of the US people are peaceable, so I shouldn't think they need worry about having their guns taken away.

Dont bet the farm.
The vast majority of the US people are peaceable, so I shouldn't think they need worry about having their guns taken away.
What do you mean?

We are peaceful, so they will not take them away?

We are peaceful, so we should not worry about them being taken away?

We are peaceful, so we should allow them to be taken away?

Did you write that sentence in that manner on purpose? Are you a politician?
What do you mean?
We are peaceful, so they will not take them away?
Like Adams said-
"The Constitution shall never be construed to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms."
- Samuel Adams

So I can't foresee the government wanting to take guns away from peaceful law-abiding citizens.
But if somebody is a persistent psychotic lawbreaker they deserve to have their guns confiscated and i think we'd all agree with that..;)
Its anonymous but a great pulse of the nation.

Buckle up folks, the current administration is going to try to shove some sort of regulation/registration/ban our way.
Three television networks announced, today, that the Biden committee will present legislation that is far more restrictive than anyone thought it would. Evidently the Biden bill makes Fienstein's bill look like she's pro-gun.
