I know that there are a bunch of fellow Texans on the forum, just wondering if there is anybody from around the Kerrville area.

I used to live in Texas, been to Austin numerous times, like the music scene on Sixth Street, and hanging out at the Bat Bar to watch new and established bands rocking the house, yeah.

Texas Hill Country is the best part about the Austin area - unless, of course, the Longhorns are playing at Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, and we're grilling steaks and sipping cold ones there.

And the Bat Bar does have its fair share of Kodak moments....

Thanks for the feed back. The wife and I both were born and reared in Texas. I called Mesquite home and even though she was born in Austin, she grew up in Tyler and by highschool was in Dallas. If all goes well we are going down home the middle of April to visit inlaws, outlaws and remaining family starting in Dallas then heading south to Crockett, Houston and maybe then to Austin and San Antonio as we head back returning via the southern route. Giving some thought to looking around in the areas west of Austin and San Antonio for some property for possible resettlement west of the Austin or San Antonio area.

The wife and I make a couple of pilgrimages to Fredericksburg/Luchenbach a year. Gotta love the area, culture, and people.

I'd love to have land down there but long term water availabilty has always concerned me.
