Anyone use one of these? I saw this in some movie and thought they looked awesome. Would be great on a hiking trip or in a canoe.

I keep looking at the Martin Jaguar takedown recurve myself. I have pulled the trigger on buying one yet.
Do you have a specific draw weight in mind. Some of the lighter limbs suffered breaks and cracks (under 40# I believe). Most states require a minimum of 40# at 28" for deer and turkey hunting.

I've tried using a 50# recurve and it's too much for me on a regular basis. I settled on 30.5" framed compound bow with 40#-50# draw at 27". With 80% let-off, it's pretty easy to hold steady. I get about 300 fps and it's quiet and accurate (recurves can be noisy). I figured if I seriously needed to use it to put food on the table, it would be responsible to go for any advantages I could.... peep sighting system, drop rest, compact carry, let-off, high velosity, camo, etc.
