I see no socio/economic tie in between Jellystone and prepping other than a Caldera blowout IF IT HAPPENS!

I have always loved the outdoors, and Yellowstone is is beyond wild; it is a fantastic place. The people that go there must adventurous types.
And I would fit right in. Yosemite is another park that I would like to go to,but I will never make it.

I did see Fairbanks though. God it was a dumpy place.

Neither of those things are true. Get yourself up there. I have only been once, but it was a great experience. For me, getting to see the herds of free-roaming bison was worth the entire trip to me. If you get bored while there (highly unlikely) push a few Asian tourists (or a couple of European teenagers) into the mud pits and watch the ensuing comedy.
