How do you store your batteries? I have always heard to put them in your refriderator so they can last longer. In a post shtf situation, this will not be avail except for when it gets cold out. I guess after a period of time, batteries will become obsolete.

Cool and dry place, any place that they will NOT see water. Gotta keep the corrosion at bay for as long as possible, rechargable batteries are going to be GOLD, even though they can run out, if you have solar panels or the little tag along solar kits you can recharge them and keep on using them! Most people don't realize that car batteries are rechargable for a long period of time, hence, why jumping a car battery works most of the time!
