We got our gas bill today. It's more than double what it should have been. ...given the very mild December we had it should have gone down.

The utility company is giving us one story:
"...Unfortunately, the El Paso Natural Gas line that provides LCU natural gas from the Permian Basin, can currently only provide so much due to line maintenance issues. This means, LCU must obtain additional sources from the San Juan Basin, which is much more expensive at this time."

And the gas supplier is giving us a different story:
As the United States works toward casting a wider net on the global natural gas market via exports, key domestic markets like the Permian Basin and Haynesville Shale could be turned upside down in 2023 as midstream bottlenecks leave gas stranded.

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist but a lot of this stuff just ain't adding up...
