The only increase in production of electricity in the US is “green.” Most notably solar and a few greenie projects. Meanwhile electric vehicles are being pushed if not even forced into play. Each of these cars needs almost as much electricity as a house. A small house depending, but still. The EVs are set to exceed a million sales this year 2023, and 2 million next year. So the US has added 2 million or more cars to its need, 3 million more in two years ahead, and only a few solar panels added to make up for it. Supply. Demand. Price the future for electricity is higher cost thanks to the government.

Customers in New Orleans (Entergy Corp.) are going to be charged an additional $5.00/month on our bills for the next 6 years so Entergy can recoup their damages from Hurricane Ida.

Everyone who buys a EV should be required to install Solar Powered Charging station in their home Or Join a Solar Charging co-op.

That would make too much sense. It would be ok to issue the rebate on new models with that condition that would actually be smart. EVs are going to reduce the demand for gasoline in a few years. Gas going down, electricity going up, the left is really going to have a hard time with that agenda.

We are in Panama, but was told by a friend in Virginia, their bill had almost doubled

Going on anywhere else?

First rising prices, then outages. Get off-grid ASAP
My electric bill has risen but not nearly as bad as my natural gas bill. It has more than doubled. And the utility is not allowed any mark up. They just pass the cost along.

We got our gas bill today. It's more than double what it should have been. ...given the very mild December we had it should have gone down.

The utility company is giving us one story:
"...Unfortunately, the El Paso Natural Gas line that provides LCU natural gas from the Permian Basin, can currently only provide so much due to line maintenance issues. This means, LCU must obtain additional sources from the San Juan Basin, which is much more expensive at this time."

And the gas supplier is giving us a different story:
As the United States works toward casting a wider net on the global natural gas market via exports, key domestic markets like the Permian Basin and Haynesville Shale could be turned upside down in 2023 as midstream bottlenecks leave gas stranded.

I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist but a lot of this stuff just ain't adding up...
