Perhaps I am coming to the wrong conclusion that some of our members do not keep up with a space weather source . They are sort of like weather men ' as was my brother ' . They have daily information on space related ongoing happenings that effects planet earth . Those that stay informed from such sources know earths protective magnetic field has weekend by a lot over the last months . Again that is the core behind the flip warning . I will take a guess and say that I am the only one on this forum that is aware that planet earth made a slight wobble a week or two ago .
A few of us have asked for some clarity.

Did these space weather gurus predict that the 6.58 sextillion tons of planet earth would physically pivot 90 degrees?
Or...
Did they predict that the Earth's magnetic poles/magnetic field would pivot 90 degrees?

There's a huge difference.

I asked Grok to calculate the required energy to pivot the earth 90 degrees perpendicular to its current rotational axis.
The answer was comical in its absurdity.

I'll summarize...
For the earth to do this, and Grok assumed over the course of 1 year, would require 4.28×10^29 J of energy.
That's 4,280,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Joules (if I counted the zeros right).
That is orders of magnitude larger than the Chicxulub impact which is believed to have wiped out the dinosaurs. (~10^23 J)
It is equivalent to the entire energy output of the sun over a ~17 minute period.
It also added:
"No known natural or artificial mechanism could deliver this energy without destroying the planet. For context, tidal forces from the Moon slow Earth’s rotation by only 65.7 nanoseconds per day, requiring billions of years for small changes.
Moreover, a 90-degree pivot would cause catastrophic geophysical effects, including massive tsunamis, earthquakes, and climate disruptions, due to the redistribution of Earth’s mass and angular momentum."

Fear not. If that could ever happen, it will be impossible to prepare sufficiently to survive it.
Unless you're already on Mars when it does.
;)

Do these numbers include the amount of energy it would take to stop said rotation once it begins... to counter the effects of inertia?

I doubt if this is a realistic threat. Even a magnetic pole flip is not likely to flip the planet. The sun's poles flip about every 11 years, but the sun itself does not flip.

I'm more concerned about the declining magnetosphere. That's likely why the magnetic poles are wandering and why the Earth is warming. Less protection from solar radiation means more warming on the surface.

Earth's Magnetic Field Is Weakening 10 Times Faster Now

Here's the deal. If we see alien spacecraft exiting Earth en masse, then it's time to bend over and kiss one's butt goodbye.
BUT...will we know what the spacecraft look like? Will they be ugly as a tesla or as sweet looking as a GM squarebody? Maybe that late night tv dude that was just cancelled is the lead alien and is sign the others need to leave as well.

Joking aside...the older I get the more I believe we have been desensitized to anything that may have seemed "crazy" when we were younger (before social media/ministry of truth came along)...maybe Paul Harvey and Dan Smoot were the last "real" humans in media.....or the .gov.

Too much nerding for me. Now where’s my crayon.

. Ok guys this is the link some have been asking for . I managed to draw it back up . The first time that I posted this link , it mysteriously failed to materialize , why I do not know . This is the core to this entire thread . Believe or not is up to the individual . "'' the part that pertains to this thread begins about forty percent into the video with the guy sitting in the chair .

Thanks for the video. It was humorous.
It did clarify the claim.
The narrator, in his sit down interview, claims that a large energy burst from the sun can somehow cause the crust of the earth to detach from the mantle and shift 90 degrees. He provides no evidence to support this, nor any evidence that it has happened before, nor any clarification on why it would only move 90 degrees and stop.

Firstly, there is no geological evidence to support the claim that the earth experiences any cycle of full crustal shift, caused by the sun or otherwise.
Secondly, if he truly believed this would be a "near extinction level event", he wouldn't bother promoting his upcoming schedule through the next year.

There is ample evidence for magnetic pole reversal, and this phenomenon is often used to confuse people into believing other claims.
But this reversal causes no movement of the crust. It would certainly screw up our GPS system for a while, and likely a few other systems (not to mention all compasses), but we would largely survive it.

Learn to spot the hype and look for actual evidence. If none is presented, but there's a lot of flashy imagery and foreboding words, be wary.
Keep in mind the old adage:

SpaceWeatherNews (S0). This video may not be suitable for some , for serious preppers only
I don't know, I'm skeptical about you. You always post similar topics in various forums to spread fear and terror, and in the end it's all a hoax.
Sure, something could happen, but according to you, the world would have ended 100 times by now.
When you were active in the old Doomsdayprepper forum, you were kicked out after three months because you regularly made people angry with your apocalyptic truths.
Have fun continuing to spread panic.

I appreciate your honest opinion about me . It is not lost on me ,some can not fantom the dark depths of my prepper slash survivalist mind . Usually my postings are not meant in malice toward anyone , but are based on my prepper thinking process . Yes some can't grasp that level of thinking and their often reaction is anger . "' I will add , not only is my mind at that prepper level , so is my preparations to face the things that makes some angry to even be brought forth to be talked about . "'' lt appears ' Celtic raven ' that you opened the link that I clearly stated ' this video may not be suitable for some ' ''' another thought on my part ' I never predict ' I only present information and never proclaim its accuracy unless it is something that I am personally involved with .
