Looks cool , nice set up , you need to put a lift kit on the Jeep to level out the trailer , when you have the trailer full it will be easier to tow .

You are right Targetshooter I plan to put in a 4 inch lift in this summer. Not aiming for a rock crawler rather a overlander setup. I also plan to get an articulated hitch. Not shown in the picture is a longer trailer tongue to make it easier to haul the canoe.

Basic wrangler, manual shift no power anything, I ordered it with the max tow option. Installed HAM / CB radios, snorkel, winch, water storage in the back bumper, refrigerator / freezer and I have a portable solar panel .

Thanks Paraquack. He's just 15 hh, is Freisian/Percheron/Appalloosa cross. At almost 6 years old he's a good guy. I can use him and Lars (2010 model) for packing or riding or both. Or drive them. (well, Lars is learning his ground manners right now. I'll start with a harness after he turns 2 in July.) I'm trying to devise a light 4 wheeled cart with bike tires, or similar. Tough enough to hold all the BO stuff, but light and able to go off road/cross country. Something like the 3 wheeled baby buggy one of the other preppers posted here. Except taller wheels and more room to carry stuff. A bit taller and bigger.
Yes, I ride him western and bareback.
Pioneer Manufacturing company makes a nice light weight wagon and buckboards that one horse in a single tree could pull. I think you would be looking at about 3 thousand you have to call for a price. Anther option is to watch auctions to see if one comes up for sale . The fiber glass wheels and shafts are the way to go now days.

I own some older cars 1967-1973 that have all been converted to electronic ignitions. If an EMP was to hit I can easily reinstall a points distributor...3 are chevys & one is a dodge. I have lots of extra points ,condensors & coils. I have no plans to really bug anywhere , but the cars will come in real handy after things settle down. I can always find a 90's chevy 4x4 & convert it to a point distributor. I'm sure there will be abandoned cars & trucks everywhere. As far as gas I can pump gas from any service station with the 12V gas pump I bought a few yrs ago..it'll pull 20' horizontally.

Is that Anvil? We have a Willys. Love having a Jeep again. This one is lifted 2-1/2", and the Willys has the Rubicon suspension.
Best I've done so far is bug out bag for it for us and doggos, plus we keep the collars and harnesses there
