This is my new BOV. It's not the toughest or meanest looking vehicle but it gets good gas mileage, has decent cargo space, highly reliable and it's AWD. It should do for most things except some Mad Max scenerios. I have all ready added some LED lighting and don't plan to do much else other than maybe get one of those hitch thinga ma jiggys to carry extra cargo if need be.

This is my Bugout vehicle. 2000 model Ram. V8 5 speed,4x4,9 inches lift,37" tires, front and rear lockers, loaded with all the options like a/c and cruise and such. A work in progress but it's always ready to go. Thinking about maybe doing acamo job on it like I did my old Cherokee.

I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it yet. It's a 1972 with only 47k miles on it. 6cyl, stick, and 4X4. It has points, an alternator, and not much else. No power brakes, no power steering, nothing power.

This brings up a question I've had for a while. In the event of an EMP, most current vehicles wont work due to the computers being fried. What are ya'lls thoughts on having an extra ECM and PCM on hand, kept int a faraday cage for protection? Would they work to get a non running Toyota going?
Nope. There are coils, ecms within ecm, ignition components besides coils. Too many electronics within a new vehicle that cant be bypassed to run it.

Modern cars ECM can not just be swapped out . The replacement one must be flashed to the vehicle in most cases. The BCM and ECM along with other parts will not communicate unless you do .
The BCM plays a very big role in modern cars and motorcycles.
