Walmart has those "under the bed storage tubs". You can fit 8 of them under a queen sized bed. You can also use a FoodSaver to shrink down some items to save room. You might have some empty space in the back of your cabinets or in the back of a closet.

Finding food that's affordable, easy to store, easy to prepare, has a long shelf life AND is healthy isn't easy to come by. I'm sure as heck not going to use up valuable freezer space trying to store bulk frozen veggies when I can stack cases of canned veggies on a shelf.
...when the huddled masses are fighting over the last few cockroaches for dinner I'll be more than happy to be eating Spam and Veg-All
