It's definitely a whole different way of life out there shotlady. If there ever is a pandemic or zombie invasion I'd move out there in a heartbeat I love the west coast. However, a lot of the people leave me scratching my head.

the people here are the walking dead. we already have zombie invasion going on. entitled, and worse. theres seven more protected classes here in ca than in any other state in regaurds to fair housing and employment. i want every one to enjoy the same rights, but what ca has done has made those classes more equal than others. they have far more rights.
example i have a lady out of here head in one of my units. been here about 9 yrs. her antics can be challenging- she reports the guys next door ride scateboards so i spoke with them... after all the two bedrooms here are 1897-2157 per month-so we have a good reason to live in quiet peace. we are paying for it. they walk past and did nothing i have it on camera, she says they stared her down. they didnt and called her a nut. so i have to move her at my exspense. from these imagined transgressions...

the bummed out and nervous can have dogs even though we have a no dog policy- you go to your pot doctor get a script for the pup and theres shit everywhere. and barking galore. they dont have to pay security for said comfort animal. the owner gets nailed for this...

fair housing is grand too any one can say yer a racist, this usually happens with decline app or evictions... its cheaper to pay them to go away about 10 grand than to withstand the 40k cost of dfending yourself...

section8 pays 1800 for a 2 bedroom then throw on 500 in food stamps- which can be used at fast food chains and resturaunts now- oh but now thers welfare coming in too. and free health and dental. these people are dressing and lookng much better than i...

but wait theres more! any building that is financed- remember those bank bail outs? now that the fedral gubmint owns the banks, owners of apt buildings have to offer the fedral programs if they have a fedral loan? fedral loan? the feds own the banks now... section 8.

im all for a hand up... but a hand out? and running down the small business man.

rent control gets taxed at gross potential rent not gross actual- so if market value is 1000.00 er month for a single apt and you have some one paying 450.00 for that apt- yer still taxed at the gross potential.
dont get me started on section 42 (tax income credit properties)

and those are just a few examples... some people are more equal than others. we are a commie state. a zombie state indeed.
and the load assed majority (libs) have squelched the voice of reason and the working. mob rule.

There is only one solution to save calif. That is to fire all the dem's, get in nice new consertive leaders and start all over again. Same thing with the entire country. If not, we will all be living like the crazy people in calif. IF it doesn't stop soon in cali, then cali is doomed to totally fall over the cliff. Won't be pretty for sure. A lot of people don't think much about it, but when the police and fire depts can't respond, as nobody is at work, then it will really be bad for them. When a state goes broke, it can't pay the service people to maintain law and order or to put out fires. Oh lets not forget , no garbage pickup, water, sewage, road maintaince or any of the other nicities the people actually pay for.

Within days of a state not paying it's empoloyee's, grocery stores among all the others, will quit business due to robberies and other thefts and violance.

Wow Calif sounds bad, can't lawyers use the US Constitution to back up normal people in legal battles?
i mean there's something in there about "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness"
So it's downright unconstitutional if some people are being treated more equal than others!
And if some people are making you unhappy, that's unconstitutional too and they should be clobbered with the Constitution..

I hear ya shotlady, I move outta the "land of fruit and nuts" bout 15 yr ago. It was bad then, I imagine it's far worse now. The prob is the sheeple dont even try to be self reliant in any way. 'Get my Obama phone, and collect my welfare check.." is the mantra these days. Its getting to the point that even if you are one of the few that want to fend for yourself, the rules and red tape make it nearly impossible for anyone to succeed. Try to start a business in Cali these days, so many regulations, unless you sell oranges or cheap watches on the corner. This "Tax the rich" class warfare bull is just dividing America, no point to it. Nothing but empty rhetoric.

I moved out of the peoples republic of Kalifornia two and a half years ago, and its the best thing ive ever done for my self. That state is so FUBAR that I don`t think any amount of money or change in government could fix it.

I now live in the free state of Idaho, were I have more rights and freedoms than Kalifornia would ever allow.

That's why I like where I live, Indiana. Just cornfields, cornfields, and some more cornfields. The occasional woods, and if you go north you'll find Indy. Don't go too far north or you'll end up in Gary! O_O Gary=Gang City. Thankfully I live 2 hrs south of Indy. Lol
