Hi all,

I've been putting a few things aside for the sake of being prepared...

I try to keep my prepping to things that are doable and fit in with my lifestyle...Which means I don't swing from vines and jump nekked into creeks LIKE BEAR GRYLLIS...

I see being prepared as doing simple basic things to cover my bases and should disaster strike...not getting caught flat footed with nowhere to turn and nothing to eat.

I do garden and the wife cans...which we've wrapped up for the year, my garden is now in glass jars...I have neighbors that raise chickens and we trade, veggies for eggs...I have fruit trees that produce and though we fairly set at the moment, we plan on getting some livestock. The wife wants goats...lol

Thank you for the welcome!

Idaho has a few things going for it...for the most part Idaho is rural...

I have been gardening for a while and can say it has a learning curve to it...not something I'd want to try to learn how to do on the heels of a disaster.

My gardening is a work in progress, my goal is to be able to sit down to a meal that I produced...nothing store bought...I come close and gain every season.
