Welcome from Ionia County Michigan.

We do not here much in the news here about the economy in Bulgaria, alot is stated about Greece,

Is your country experiencing similar financial problems,

We here in the US are so spoiled, we don't really know true hardship any more.

Most here have no place to complain, however we still do, daily.

Bulgaria has only been in the EU for about 4 years, and you can see the changes all the time, we now have 2 corrupt criminal groups running the place, the EU, and local government as well, (Deep joy).
More and more restrictions coming in all the time, as they tighten the noose around their necks, but we came here 7 years ago trying to get away from, the garbage in prison camp UK. That place is an economic prison, the stuff I hear and read about over there makes Orwell's 1984 look like a boy scouts outing. They are secretly killing old people and covering it up in hospitals, they indulge in slave labor for the poor and unemployed, or you starve to death. You can't even live off the grid, as it's a criminal offence, it's a shit hole, and 95% of the people don't even know it, I could not live there anymore. If I could get a-hold of a UFO I would be gone from this world tomorrow.
At least in Bulgaria, where we live is about 4 miles from a small town, we live in the foot hills of the mountains with about 9 families in our village, Typical people, or English ass holes, stab you in the back as soon as look at you, I am English too, but trust me, 95% of ordinary folks from the UK I would not spit on, they will hang you out to dry in a heart beat. We have very little to do with them, so we sit as much as we can, behind out 8 ft high, thick concrete walls, with 2 Russian mountain dogs who roam our little plot, both about 165lbs each, and short of using a big knife or a gun, if you got in, YOUR DEAD.

Anyway, good for us, this country does not have a lot of people, there is lots of wild land, but it's a very poor country. If this MAD world is still going in about 7 years from now ( doubt it) we may then up roots and move, maybe south America, who knows. We have very poor money here, about 700$ (Wife's state pension) a month to live on, so prepping for us is very hard, as we have very little spare money each month, But I have a small military pension to come in about 2.5 years from now. Some parts here are quite run down, in fact it can depress me a little at times, with gypsies, and bums who live like the old films you would see from the days of communism. ( hard rough life for many of them). Also sad to say, NEVER also trust a Bulgarian, they will also screw you over in a heart beat, and leave you with nothing. WOW! What choices we have here in Europe! Hahah.
Just hope they don't return to their old commi party ideas, and kick us all out, if that happens (WE WOULD BE SCREWED) we would be Refugees then! :? With nothing, only the cloths we stand up in.

What a good doggy. Who's a good dog.

I have tried several dog breads and have settled on Labrador's they seam to have a reasonable sence of who should and should not be around.

It is good for you that you have retirement money that will follow you from location to location,

What made you select your location? nhad you visited their in the past.

I have read many articles about relocating to other country's where supposedly it is less opressive, however I believe where ever people are you have opressive government now.

Can you give me an idea on why you moved there

I never complained until we started down the Socialist path--until I saw my freedoms curtailed and my money taxed away and given to
lazy ****s and illegals
I am from the UK, sorry to say, I call myself country less now, ashamed to admit I am from the UK, how bad is that? ( the broken toy Chinese nations could invade the place tomorrow, and I would not give A xxxxx). I am envious of you Americans as you have a great country, which I think 95% love, but your being completely screwed over by the 1%. At least you all feel you have something worth fighting for, a rear thing today people!

Anyway, I have traveled a lot of the globe in my time, even been to the north pole ( snow ball fight) hahah. The point is, I think all those places have rubbed off on me a little,( hence not the normal Brit) which leaves me thinking who the hell am I! I call myself a living breath soul, Just trying to find a little freedom and harmony with whoever and the world. Like you all, I respect everyone and everything, just trying make their/our lives as good as we can. I respect you, I help you, you help me, I try and pull my weight, work for my bread, don't steal, or create a problem for anyone, and Believe in true fairness . That's all I am after giving, and receiving, it's all very simple really, but this screwed up twisted dung heap we now live in, which some have created, has pissed on paradise and us too.

Umm Why did we move here, WOW! Very long story, I could writing a book about it or try to. In short, I was screwed over by the military, and the government who basically completely destroyed our whole life, and everything we worked for. Just because I was stupid enough to believe in the system, and tried to improve things and expose waste, corruption, and stupid ideas, Oddly enough I ended up, just before leaving or being medically retired I was assigned to the USAF, an aggressor squadron of F18s in the UK, but did not realize I was being setup to be taken down. That's about as short as I can make it! Lots of secret stuff, I would not be permitted to speak about, without being taken out in some accident.
So, indirectly we were driven out of the country. Why this place? It was cheap living costs, far more freedom than the UK, land you can walk and hunt on without being arrested, it's a little wild in places, as I love nature. You feel far more in control of what you buy into and what you don't. I call it a kind mini Canada or Alaska, it gets up to 45 to 50c in the summers, and Siberia in the winter, as we have had -30c and 1.5 meters of snow before now at times, ( the Dogs love the snow hah). and we often get snowed in, but we don't mind. Our heating is all wood, which I have to chainsaw, chop and stack, about 20 cubic meters of wood a year we use in our home. My boss, ( the wife is a fantastic cook) we eat very healthy food, keeping all the GM crap,( good old Monsanto) and garbage to the minimum, but always working to improve things.
Yep we did visit the place about a year before we moved here, although we very nearly moved to Thailand, that's a full on place, WOW! But we ended up here!
