Just started prepping and any advice is good advice.
Welcome from Nevada and the primary advise I'd give is start reading. Lots of good info located here.

Just started prepping and any advice is good advice.
Plant a garden if you can, using heirloom seeds, many brands are available on the net & each acre you plant yields 50 acres of seeds, & these are like gold in a barter economy that may be forthcoming.
ONE female rabbit can produce 800 pounds of meat in a year, with a mate :razz:
Chickens are easy to keep & goats are a rich source (best pound-for-pound) of milk &/or meat.
Housing for all 3 can be made from pallets, & they can be found for free if you just ask around a bit.
We are doing all this & we buy a few extra food items as we can every payday.
In April we start with the chickens & some bees.
I have collected over 75 pallets from local sources & paid no more than a dollar for some, most were free of course, but the paid one have several 2x4's included & can be salvaged.
