New Prepper in Louisiana

Hello everyone. I have recently joined this site and look forward to all of the information that I will learn. My father has been prepping/ stocking for quite a few years now. Largely due to his influence and the dwindling of our economy, I have decided to take up this practice myself. If anyone has any recommended starting points, I would love to hear them. Thanks!
