The wife and I have just begun to take a serious commitment to being better prepared in the face of any emergency situation. Will be looking for serious guidance in avoiding all the WRONG things to do and how NOT to fall prey to those just looking to make a fast $$ off of the backs of newbies like myself. will be looking forward to any advice possible in terms of future posts. I am very familiar with forums in general and know that the vast majority of questions i may have, have already probably been addressed in a post somewhere in the site. With that being said I will be turning my attention to finding a reputable source of emergency food stores as i prepare my own food supplies. Wife and I would like to acquire at least a years worth of emergency foods while build our own. Look forward to interacting with you folks

Welcome from Texas. Kick the boots off, stay awhile and have a look around. Don't worry too much about asking questions. There are quite a few we are accustomed to seeing upon a new arrival.

And a second welcome from Northern California. I wouldn't go out and try to buy a years food supply in one shot. Try building your inventories by first getting month ahead. You will need to learn a rotation system also. Anyway, welcome.
