Very nice, my dad has an old 700 in .308, it was given to him as a teenager from his dad, a few years ago :) He has never had a problem with it, and it's still his most accurate rifle.

looks like a 26 inch barrel,

should be a tack driver,

start stocking on ammo every time you see it,

308 is one of the very hard ones to find now.

It's a 24 inch barrel, 308 has been on the shelf pretty regularly around here. That is the only reason I finally pulled the trigger on it. Normally every paycheck I go pick up 5 to 10 boxes of something so I am going to be splitting that up between 5.56 and 308. in a few weeks I am going to go see if I can bring home some meat with it ;)

Nice pick-up. 700 is a good rifle and 308 is an excellent round.

I got to get out and break it in today, so from a standing possession from about 300 yards with zero site adjustments I would say I was shooting a group with in 5 to 6 inches. I know not those supper tiny groups but from a standing possession from that distance that will lay a dear down and I was happy. can't wait till next month to try and put some meat in the freezer.
