I was living in SC and we had just gotten over a really bad storm. There was a CBer that was ranting that the storm caused his antenna to rip loose and end up on the ground but that isn't quite what he said. The conversation went something like this...

him... "My antenna blew off my roof last nite!"

my reply... "Really? your entire roof or just part of it?"

him... "No, I mean my antenna blew off my roof and it landed in my driveway."

my reply... "Yeah I understand that... what I don't understand is how your antenna could blow your roof off?"

him... "what?"

my reply... "You said your antenna blew off your roof."

him... "No you ****ing dumbass! It blew off my roof."

my reply... "I'm a dumbass? You are the one that put up an explosive antenna not me."

him... "Where are you?"

my reply... "At home, nice & dry. My roof is fine."

him... "I'll find you!"

my reply... "After you get your tent up & are on your way give me a call, I'll make coffee."

Some people think that Cb radio isn't entertaining. I disagree. HAM radio is awesome but you just don't get this kind of entertainment on the Amateur bands.

=D the CB in my BOV and my proximity to I-85 yeah brother...when I get a chance next I'm absolutely gonna have to post on this because I have heard stuff come out of these drivers that you would not even buy. This would make a friggin hilarious thread, lets meet up at the yet to be born "Shit you hear on the radio" thread. I got a hundred stories over like 30 nights. We gotta do this thing.

OMG! This is too funny not to share... I was passing through El Paso TX and made the mistake of turning on my CB near a truck stop. The normal BS of hooker auctions etc...when someone asked how the actor Christopher Reeves, who played Superman was doing (soon after his accident). Instantly all the BS stopped and everyone was being civil taking about Mr. Reeves & how they all hoped he would fully recover. Until... someone said "I just hope he can fly again someday." It was back on... telling the guy he was an idiot because it was just a movie and the guy couldn't really fly.
Funny but also scary. These same people can reproduce and even worse... vote.

We were on at trip and I had the CB on. My wife is normally an extremely calm person but after hearing what was on the CB we got into an argument. I lost. She basically told me if I ever hooked it up again she would be filing for divorce. That's when I got my ham ticket.
