Mayhap you should take a look around you if you think we're aren't already close to martial law , and best analyse the " defeats of corrupt govts" you refer to and exactly what the cost was to the assembled citizenry.

Rather seems a leading question too , coming from someone with two posts.

Me? Oh I'm a pacifist and I threw all my firearms overboard on a fishing trip after breaking the firing assemblies so they wouldn't be a danger to the fish and the crabs.

Look , these are uncertain times , many folks here take OpSec quite seriously and you just basically put forth a question that asked folks whether or not they would engage in or advocate illegal acts. And insofar as it goes you might wish to softpedal such talk within the context of the real world , old saying " loose lips sink ships"............and in these days of " see something , hear something say something" it's more applicable than ever before.

Jazzman is correct, I am from a different age someone needs to tell the man to stick it every time I look in the mirror I see someone. I wish I could sit in the back quietly heck my life would have been so much quieter.
I was never able to sit in the back not any better than anyone else I could not do it no madder how much I wanted to. My mother and latter my wife ask me if there was ever going to be a fight I did not sign up for first out.
From my first day in school I walked in and sat down in the front row, the rest of my life it never changed. I was was born to be the first out he door. I can not change I tried.

Many of us here are not teens, we are not unfamiliar with firearms, the woods and the notion of survival. A good many of us are also not unfamiliar with the U.S. military, as we have first-hand experience in it.

Let me explain a couple things about today's aviation technology. Imagine the most primitive armed helicopter the U.S. inventory has, the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior. You and your buds are doing everything by the numbers. Your camo can't be better, your noise light discipline is awesome, your movement techniques are great. Plus, it is night. What you do not see or hear is the Kiowa Warrior that is approaching your location. The copilot/gunner sees you and your buds on the mast mounted sighting system, notices that there are no "good guys" in the area by checking the Blue Force Tracker, calls for confirmation, and then lights you up with the .50 cal, all before you have an idea you are not alone in the universe.
We won't even go into the Apache's abilities, or the UAVs that the Air Farce uses, nowadays. By the way; before anyone gets testy about me saying "Air Farce," I am in their reserves, right now.

Point being, do not even begin to think that things will be a cake walk, simply because a lot of civilians have a lot of guns. I haven't even mentioned the capabilities of the military police, which you will see a lot of, or the honest to goodness snake-eaters.

However, don't ever forget a couple of hundred years ago a bunch of colonists kicked the A$$ of the most powerful military in the world.
