You're going through quite the mess down there. I heard they just put in new travel restrictions requiring vaccine proof just to cross a particular border INSIDE the country. Norther Territory, if I'm not mistaken.
Best advice I have for you is get out while, and if, you can.
Once power is taken, it's never given back. It can only be wrestled back, and generally with significant loss of life. If you're not up to that, get out.
