Being a Veteran, I share your point of view on what our policy should be on Terrorists. However the lack of any type of military justice creates the conditions for the lack of justice of any kind, including citizens here.

As`long as we treat this as a criminal matter instead of a war, as long as we refuse to use their belief system against them as they our legal system against us, we will see initial success and long term failure. It's a war not a contest!

I understand your point of view, in fact i agree with it. You can't trade liberty for safety however. Every tyrannical institution has played that card, and with using excuses to justify our enemy combatant policies will only lead to the decay of our own civil liberties. Though you and I may use those powers for the right purpose you can be guaranteed the government won't.
