Jason KM4ACK is a well known and respected guy in the prepper emergency communication world and has been for a long time, especially on youtube. It turns out he lives near Nashville and has all his phone and internet service with AT&T. He got to put some of his teaching to use on Christmas when he lost phone and internet service.
He has some pretty interesting insight on what worked and what didn't, what caught him off guard and what he's going to fix before the next time. A relatively small scale situation like Nashville was a good training ground for what might be in store.
WARNING: he uses a lot of radio jargon that might not mean much to non-hams but the concepts are easy enough to follow. And he talks about non-ham radio communications at the end.
