I would start with a good short barreled pump .12 gauge and a few boxes of Ought buck. If you have plenty of money a Remington 870. Broke folks need a Mossberg.
sure I agree with you but I was hoping to get some exact specifics on what you would want. Plus would you mind stating whether you are an "experienced" prepper or just starting out.READ the postings, like prep of the day here.
BASICS, food, guns, water, shelter, heat.
There is plenty of info here, just look.
MOST agree, guns and ammo are the most important part, they help you keep the other preps.
I'd rather use iodine tabs than a lifestraw. Filter bigger particles with your shirt first.Bigwheel, thanks but what about items after protection. I am trying to find out exact products i.e. a lifestraw for instance
That is excellent. Do you worry about Cryptosporidium, since Iodine tablets don't protect against that, and with sanitation being an issue that would happen quickly it might be something that needs to be considered.I'd rather use iodine tabs than a lifestraw. I, have been prepping since 1979, have everything I can think of needing.sure I agree with you but I was hoping to get some exact specifics on what you would want. Plus would you mind stating whether you are an "experienced" prepper or just starting out.
I am in total agreement, but for you specifically is there anything specifically that you are saving up for or would like to buy to extend your preps or have an extra of something since no one is ever fully completely prepped.90% of us here are more than amply experienced. The search function works just like GOOGLE to find threads on any given topic. It would be difficult to outline a plan for you without knowing your logistics, member size, age, income, specific potentials you want to prep for etc......
There is no one answer that fits all.
Uhhh Rah! Now the way I was taught a person has a better chance to hit something with Nought than with Double Nought since it gets more lead flying down range. But what is an extra bb in the grand scheme of things? I am currently the proud owner of 10 rounds of Double Nought and could open a second hand ammo store on number 4 steel shot. My big brudder was an avid duck hunter..so I aint gonna nag. They say that is pretty good at short range. In fact I have an old pal who was being afflicted with Pit Bulls killing his goasts. He went to the hardware store to buy shotgun ammo. The clerk asked him.."What are you trying to kill." The pal said.."Pit Bulls." The guy say "Ahhh..you need number 4's." Now I love all animals including pit bulls if they bite the right person..just thought it was a humorous story to share.good short barreled 12 gauge with double ought buck
What good would an answer to this question do you?I am in total agreement, but for you specifically is there anything specifically that you are saving up for or would like to buy to extend your preps or have an extra of something since no one is ever fully completely prepped.
What good would an answer to this question do you?
The answers would be of an advanced prepper, NOT a starter like you.
IF I was in your position, I would be asking about basics.
Do you have another reason for posing this type of question?
My spouse and I have only been prepping for 10 years and have had our house on the market 4 times in those 10. The Lord has seen fit for us to stay put in a subdivision. We have done the best that we can with what we have while also adhering to the HOA. Trust me when I say that we would LOVE to be on 5 acres with a fresh water spring, with some kind of egg laying fowl, and a shop to have a better environment to teach people to can food, butcher chickens, grow their own food and so on. We are trying to venture out into an alternative source of income and we are just trying to figure out what the best most desirable products might be for a variety of non experienced preppers to someone like yourself. What situations do you want to prep for? Particular SHTF's or TEOTWAWKI?
Would you bug in or out?

Having done some pretty extensive research on the topic believe the Sawyer mini filters are preferable to Life Straws. They do a bunch more quantity of filtering and strain out smaller critters. Think you could save time by asking about specific products as opposed to nebulous questions. Are you a troll?Bigwheel, thanks but what about items after protection.
