Not bad tutorial. I take issue with using peat moss since it is almost a non-renewable resource. Instead I recommend what the AG dept of AZ recommends to hold water, Coconut Coir Potting Soil: Coco Coir Potting Mix | Gardener's Supply as an example. It breaks down where peat moss doesn't seem to. I've even had people tell me it available in pet stores for amphibians and such. They carry it as dense "brick" that you break up and soak in a pail of water. Runs $2-$6.
