Obviously graphic in nature, it's a hunting video. I find the whole thing interesting and educational in general. But an EXCELLENT example of how nice suppressed weapons are for hunting.

And WOW! Something not 100% biased against hunting & guns in general is allowed on the news in other countries?!?!?!

I love the nonbiased report. here is a man. he shhots rabbits. he feed rabbits to his animals.
Yes, would love to be able to shoot suppressed, but due to "all the millions of people being killed by suppressed weapons", THe govt has has made it hard to obtain. Not to mention expensive..
Check out the "oil filter suppressor on Youtube."
And If it was cold enough, I would have ate those scrumptious little bunnies myself.

I am about as pro gun pro 2nd as it gets.
But Honestly I see no reason what so ever to have a suppressor. If it ever gets to a point I need one, the law will not madder anyway.
Maybe we all have a limit

A lot of people think they are 'Hollywood quiet". They are suppressors NOT silencers.. As long as they are supersonic rounds there will always be a sonic boom. They are more quiet with a suppressor but not silent. If you use subsonic rounds, they can be very quiet though. I have a few that when I use certain calibers and weapons, all you hear is the action moving..

I have used many different types. I am not calling for a ban or anything . I just see no legitimate use for them by the public.
IMO if you need to use your weapon for hunting or anything else every one should know it.

I don't think anybody will be trying to sneak around. But it will be nice to use our suppressors for something other then punching paper. I do think it will be less disturbing to other squirrels.

Anybody that thinks suppressors are silent watches to much TV.

It doesn't matter if you can't think of a "legitimate" reason to use a suppressor. As long as I'm not hurting anyone, it's none of your business.
Remember I never said I supported banning them or restrictions not one word in that direction.
We have a lot of things that would fit on the over the top list.
My 50 bolt action is one.
Here to have suppressor you must apply and pay a tax for it. That sounds messed up to me

Yup, you have to have a $200 tax stamp.. A lot of times people ask if I have a hobby and I just say I "collect stamps" and they look at me funny..lol My brother has quite a few machines in his shop out back and has an affinity for making suppressors.. He has been messing with them since high school probably and that was 20yrs ago. Now he has it down to an art form.. But he doesn't finish them because that would be against the law..

Don't understand the need for a suppressor unless you are being covert. Don't understand the need to be covert if you are hunting legal. I'm not passing judgement, I just don't understand. So, is there a reason other than " because I want to"?

Yes, but most people think that ALL suppressed weapons are "Hollywood quiet" I was stating what "does" make them that way.. Unless they are subsonic, they will NOT be like tv
