Just wondering if anyone has held onto wood for a given time frame (in years). A buddy of mine (who is a forester) mentioned that its no good after a year even if its covered. I was thinking WTF? I figured it would store years on end without rain and off the ground. Am I missing something?

Good deal, thats what I was thinking, that they are dry as a bone thus will burn faster. I guess one could remove the shed top once or twice a year during a hard rain to let them get soaked again, thus perserving their moisture content, but not enough to rot them. Thanks for your post!
