We all fear the erosion of our rights and liberties. And yes, the government is part of the problem. But the other problem is the people. The government wants to control us from cradle to grave. They believe we're all too ignorant to take care of ourselves. Why does Obamacare have a provision in it for an RFID chip? Would anyone here allow them to put it in them? It's all about control and oppression. They wan't us all to be good little sheeple and not take responsibility for ourselves. The other half of the problem is the people. Too plugged in to their internet, video games, music and everything else. They turn a blinds eye to what's going on around them. Distract the people with a shiny object and they divert their attention from the reality of losing their freedoms. They want everyone on government aid so they can control your life. Look how many people are on government aid over the last few years. And look how much worse it's getting. The more people rely on the government, the more they can control you. Socialism does not work. Never has and never will. But armed conflict is not the answer either. I own a couple guns, but they are for self defense and defending my family and home. My only interest in turning the direction of this country is through diplomatic solutions and making my voice heard, while we still have that freedom. If some in the government get their way, the 1st amendment could be taken away very soon. So we must speak out against tyranny and oppression while we still can. There is a reason why many of us frequent a forum like this. It's not just the natural disasters that concern us. It's the power hungry people in office who wish to take away our rights and liberties. There very well could come a day where you see a state like Texas decide to remove itself from the Union because of the governments policies. And that will be when things start to get really ugly. But again, I don't advocate any violence. I think we can get this country back on course with our abilities to vote and make our voices heard.
