Hi there, from Christchurch New Zealand.
I didn't know what preppers were or that I was one until the quakes inexperienced in sept 2010 and Feb 2011
I just thought I was ready for the shit happens day.
Weeks without power, water, sewers and we got thru without needing outside help
I will post a story about it soon

Turns out I was. With food, fuel, batteries etc.

Just found out about the term prepping..

Lived in Warrington for a couple of years. With all the goats, pigs, and stags running around, shouldn't be too hard to get meat. Else, you could hit the Akoroa peninsula for a fish.
