Hello together

Just discovered this forum after being more involved with prepping for two years now and there are rather less active communities in my region.

Briefly about me. I am a normal middle class citizen living in Switzerland. As a Swiss I have completed the usual and mandatory military training. I am 35 and have 3 brothers who together with me have been pushing the issue of prepping in our families for the last few years.

Now I am looking for a place to exchange ideas and bring my prepping up to date.

Welcome from Queens, NY USA...

I spent several weeks in Zurich, Switzerland, one of the greatest memories of my life. Learned 2 important things there, 1) I prefer the Air Conditioning in USA lol
2) I never felt more safe then when I was in your Country

Bought 3 souvenirs from your country, the Victorinox SAK Work-Champ XL, A Swiss Pocket Watch, and a music box that plays the song 'Edelweiss'.

1st time I ever went on a Water Taxi too... So how is Switzerland doing since I left, miss it there?

What started your interest in being prepared for the future?
What are your primary areas of focus for your preparation?

Well switzerland is still one of the richest countries on earth i guess, so its still feels very safe here.
But you can definitely feel that times are slowly changing and life is getting much harder for many. You hear more often now that people have no money left in their bank accounts at the end of the month due to inflation and rising costs for food, gasoline and health.

You can also see it in the big increase in arms sales, some of which have increased by 200% - precisely because many are beginning to believe that something is up and that the world may not be as safe for long as people are used to. The war in Ukraine also adds to this, of course, since we are ultimately only 12 hours away from it.

I've posted a small breakdown of my current prepper state here and am now looking for improvement ideas and feedback on it in particular.
