I assume it's an AR platform using 7.62 x 39? Maybe I'm wrong but one reason I like the .223/5.56 rifles is the probability of coming across ammo and the aftermath of a SHTF event. Obviously I don't bet my survival on that premise, but I can hope. I feel the same should apply the .22LR ammo.
