Good news -- it has become known that hidden deep within the massive 2800-page bill called Obamacare there is a Senate Amendment protecting the right to keep and bear arms.
It seems that in their haste to cram socialized medicine down the throats of the American people, then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Barack Obama overlooked Senate amendment 3276, Sec. 2716, part c.

According to reports, that amendment says the government cannot collect "any information relating to the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition."

CNN is calling it "a gift to the nation's powerful gun lobby."

And according to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), that's exactly right. He says he added the provision in order to keep the NRA from getting involved in the legislative fight over Obamacare, which was so ubiquitous in 2010.

Sorry, but if your read the whole provison they are always loopholes. This president is going to issue EO on our guns. You can bet on that. It is coming because for some reason he thinks he is the King of the USA. I hope a pray the congress can stop him, but I not sure they have the backbone to stop him.

Executive Orders don not work that way. He can do what previous Presidents did and ban imports. He can also increase scrutiny via ATF, EPA or other Federal agencies. He can't just write an EO banning guns, all or a certain type. He could try but it I would hope that either Congress or a Judge would place a hold on it in very short order. Why do you think Obama and Biden are even throwing around the EO idea, I'll tell you-They counted the votes in Congress and do not have enough to get anything through.

If you bother to read the entire thing, you'll see it only applies to Gov't healthcare programs. That is all.

I hope your are right. My problem is the weak congress. They held the USA AG in contempt of congress and nothing was done. The AG pretty much say f-you. What law inforcement agency is going to stop them. They have weaking our constitution so bad over the last 10 to 20 years that I am not sure they are anyone out there to stop them other than the military. And that is yet to be seen. Our president is even thinking of doing the debt ceciling on his own. Again I want you to be right and I pray for that.

I pray I'm right. Obama is anything but stupid, he has an agenda. He should also know, being a Constitutional scholar, the limitations of an EO. I agree our personal freedoms have been weakened over the years and Bush Jr. was the worst with the Patriot Act. I'm also sure that there are many others, besides the Military, that will hold the line if it ever comes to that.
