I just realized I didn't make an introductory post yet. So here goes..

I'm sorta new to the 'prepper' definition going around today. I feel like I have been a prepper all of my life. Growing up with my parents was a constant prepper lifestyle. We canned food, hunted, fished, made our own clothes, raised animals and gardened. They did this because of the depression years and passed it on to their children.

I took their training and went farther with it. Learning wilderness survival, mountain medicine and navigational skills. As time went along I eventually became a guide and a teacher for mountaineering, backpacking, map techniques and survival training.

I guess I've always been a prepper. I am hoping to learn from the members on this forum. You can never know enough.
