Ran across this video. If you don't want to hear about his plants... He got his barrels at the local water treatment plant. The phone number for your local one should be easy enough to find with google. I hadn't thought of them as a source myself, so just thought I'd throw this out there for anyone interested.

I don't know if I would want barrels from a water treatment plant, there is some truly nasty stuff there. The kind of stuff where you are required by law to keep track of the chain of custody and signatures for every transfer are required.

I was thinking the same thing, as well as. Have you ever seen the warning on one of these drums with Coke syrup in it?!?" The stuff dissolves skin on contact according to the stickers! I guess if you research exactly whatever it is inside any barrels from the water department before you take them, it may be possible to find some good useable one that had lesser evils in them. ;-)
