Color me amazed and happy! Burger is running $7.49 plus/pound. Stopped at my local store while coming home from Dr visit. Noticed burger at $3.47/pound and it wasn't in today's ad paper. Had to read the sign twice to make sure I wasn't seeing things. The sell date was 5/22, so still plenty good. Pickuped 16 pounds and just finished vac bagging and put them in the freezer. The best sale price I seen is $3.97 with limit of 4 pounds. I might go back after lunch and see if any is left.

I have two questions ... 1. what is the other 7% of the burger?; and 2. what was the 'burger' made from (beef, deer, elk, roadkill, synthetic meat, etc.)?

That is excellent. I just purchased 1/4 of a steer and it cost 5.33 Lb. The cow was locally sourced, grass fed and tastes excellent. The processing was $800.00 for the entire cow split 4 ways.

1. Fat. The higher the percentage, the higher the protein content and lower in fat and calories.
2. Usually beef. But any critter can be ground up.
