That sure give you alot to think about, doesn't it? I wonder how many will stand and fight and how many will give up without resistance?

I don't think it will go any where at all as the public loses interest. Gun control is not that high on the to do list for most people today.

My personal opinion is that even if this passes, Americans will just go along with it... that's what happened with the 1994 AWB, that is what happened in Australia, and that is what happened in England.

One hiccup in the economy and gun control will be the furthest thing from people's minds. I dont expect the congress to give the antis a vote, but watch a bunch of states go after so called ARs, hi caps and eliminating gun show deals. No way a confiscatory act passes.

BTW some asked what % would comply or fight. I'd do neither.

No most will pay the tax and register some will end up in jail for nt doing so but they will most given in and then latter when they come to get them all it may get nasty. But they are not dumb they will work at peace by peace and the sheep will walk right on to the killing floor.

I think we're not going to see much of anything. I think Frankensteins proposed ban was intended to be so over the top that there would be room for compromise. Hi cap mags, I'd say those are gone. Loop holes at guns shows, gone too. But that doesn't really bother me since I'm not a criminal. I just don't think it has the momentum it did back in the 90's. Do the Libs want us all disarmed? I don't doubt it. But I think it will be a long, slow progressive disarming that will take place. Little by little so as not to spark a revolt. I think we will all have to walk a straight and narrow path if we don't want our rights to own a firearm taken away. And I'm not thoroughly convinced that the Repubs have our best interest in mind either. After all, we can thank Bush for DHS and the Patriot Act. But at least he let the 94 ban expire. Anyway, I just don't see much happening. But then, I've been known to be wrong. Just ask my wife:)

House of Representatives arent going to pass any Democratic legislation regardless of what it is. IMO. The purse string holders aka House of Representatives are not real happy about the fiscal cliff debacle from what Ive gathered.

Over a year ago Obama told us what he would do and how he would do it. It amazes me how few were listening.
He was hoping the Supreme Court would rule differently he expected it to. But buy 1 vote it went against him. He came out that day and said.
"The Supreme Court got it wrong, and I will fix that when I appoint one more justice to the court." He never intended to go through congress to do it. That is why he has just sat back. He is waiting. This current dog and pony show is just a distraction. The real attack will come when one more Justices leaves the court. As soon as he appoints one Holder will file a case and it is over the 2nd will no longer apply to the individual .
Holder as his lead man has said Loud and clear" NO one has a right to own a gun in America."

I'd agree. Most Americans are busy getting by and living the sheeple life.

Removing weapons by force won't happen. It will be a buy back and the threat of jail over time. Most will hand them over.
