Greetings one and all.
I see a societal collapse on the horizon, but am less concerned about the environmental calamities predicted. The evidence I have seen indicates the Earth is a far more resilient system than some folks give it credit for. (I am not posting to start that debate.) Having said that, I think there are skills that are needed and a paradigm shift that will be required if we and our culture are to survive.
I am currently researching how to start a school. Specifically a boarding program in rural Texas that will teach not just Logic and Rhetoric, but also REAL math and science and history rather than the drivel that passes for politically correct public education. Also on the list of classes will be agriculture and animal husbandry, mechanical engineering and repair, minor medical, and, of course, martial training to protect oneself and those close to you.
With a new generation of self-sufficient young people who can think for themselves, I really think we have a shot at turning this country around and maybe even saving some of the things that made it great in the first place.
Having said all that... I am going to need to start looking for staff willing to teach youngsters how to take care of themselves as well as math and science and herbalism that far surpasses Common Core (skin crawling). I will also be in need of funding sources to pay for facilities, supplies, and salaries.
Any suggestions on where to start looking for good people willing to teach and live on site and funding to pay their salaries?
