I think I recall dyneema being used for something else I think it was sails, or body armour.

Dyneema is certainly strong stuff. I believe it is also used in some light weight backbacks eg Lowe Alpine Nanon. You can usually tell which ones as they will have one of the strands of the nylon material a different colour, that is the Dyneema thread.

I like using Paracord, very strong and stretches.

You can cut it, and there are multiple smaller strands inside.

A billion possible uses.

Amsteel is great for bow and crossbow strings. I don't like it for winches because there is no way to tell when to replace it. With wire rope if it rusts or the strands break you know it is time to replace it.
