For $400 that is not bad considering what you can do with them. For me, the article was hard to read on which direction the FAA as moving with the laws. Something about year 2015 you can start doing this.
I would consider paying about $200 right now for one just to see the layout of my land structure (without the help of google maps). Or if someone is hunting without permission on my land, I can zip over them for evidence.
I can see where the real estate companies picked this up, but they were told not to do this anymore, but I would think its beneficial for them and the buyer of the land to see what they are getting.
Now, on the flip side, if someone was flying one over my home, I would be pissed. Besides, when you buy the land, don't you own the air also? I just hate it when helicopters buzzing over my home real close just for their joy rides.
