This isn't really a survival recipe, but I bought some blackberries and thought I would try and make a smoothie.

Never made or even drank one before, so I experimented. You're supposed to use orange juice (drank it all already) and yogurt (none on hand) so I went with apple juice instead. Just blackberries, apple juice, ice and a couple tablespoons of sugar.

It was more like a slurpee than a smoothie, but it tasted great. Had to spit out all the little seeds, but it was worth it.

Very healthy drink. I think I will try it with strawberries next time.

This juicing craze may be on to something after all. That drink was good!
