Even more than that. Shoes, passes and virtually everything people pay for, congress has passed a free sht program for.....but only for special people. The keystone species gets no benefits and are robbed to support the superfluous ones.

It should come as no surprise that, as a community grows, the scope of opinions will be highly diverse.
We try not to stifle any discussion here. If a thread is started which a member believes to be full of inaccuracies, the best course of action is to present reasoned and supportable arguments refuting the original claims. I applaud you in addressing some of these.
Another valid course of action is to just ignore people you don't wish to converse with. You have a focused reason to be here, and I hope you've been able to glean some knowledge toward that end. If topics like this don't serve that purpose, it's best to just pass them by. Rarely is anything on the internet worth a drop of stress.

I'd like to address one point concerning the use of SNAP benefits.
Percentages can hide a lot.
It is accurate to say that 36.5% of SNAP recipients are white, and 25.8% are African American.
But this does not consider proportionality.
From US census data:
Whites account for 75.8% of the US population.
Blacks/African Americans account for 13.6% of the US population.
When we view the issue with this information, we see a different picture. There is a large discrepancy between total population representation and SNAP recipient percentages.
We have no means to know if this has anything to do with race, and I'm not making that point.
Just showing how only half the picture can blur reality.
