Continuing with my series of So Cal spots this time I headed to Big Bear Lake in the Angeles National Forest.

Once known for a variety of bears, including Grizzlies, youd be hard pressed to see one today. The area consists of both Big Bear lake and Arrowhead Lake (yep, same one as the water company). There are also many smaller lakes, rivers and streams.

Did a little fishing at Big Bear Lake. Didn't catch anything.

@SasquatchThanks for sharing/posting those really nice pics. One sad takeaway was the graffiti around Heart Rock. Aside from gang tagging, always amazed that some budding artists believe their work supersedes the grandeur of nature.
I thought that same thing when I saw the graffiti.

Look John the Dude ….. did you have a point with your first post at PF, or just get momentarily excited? So spill the beans you wayward hiker, do you prepare or just read about those that do?
The use of Dude and Bro drive me insane!

@Slippy @A Watchman

Lol how about I got a notification that my friend posted on this forum and coincidentally happens to be about a place I'm going to in a few weeks. I'm sorry you guys don't know people in real life to connect to. Keep banging away at those keyboards from your high horse.

And thanks for the warm welcome.

Lol
If you only knew …...
