Just took this nice doe with an Atlatl, just wondering if anyone else hunts with primitive tools? This doe dressed out to about 80lbs of meat, last years doe I am sure.

Well I will have to take some pics but in the mean time here's some pics of atlatl's I didn't make. Just a few other things as well. The vid shows a dart like the one I used to take this doe.

Haha I was thinking my Gawd it looks warm down there

We went to the AA playoff games and it was about -4 below .

don't even get me started about "wind chill" as it would make your pucker factor increase by a level of about 10

Good job on killing some hormone free, steroid free, antibiotic free meat, that will serve you well for the next year!!

This one was taken by a friend. It walked within 20 yards and stood there. He took it with a 270 and hit high. My property is covered up with game. So many deer a garden is a fight.

I think I would like to harvest a deer with a primitive weapon. Connect to my caveman ancestors.
There's nothing like it. It takes time, practice and preparation. Patience and guile and then you eat….
